Dana and Micah { Huntsville Alabama Wedding Photography }

This past weekend I flew to Huntsville, Alabama to photograph Dana and Micah's Wedding. Having never been to Huntsville, and having never met Dana or Micah I didn't really know what to expect. Their wedding was held at an adorable little church that was literally in the middle of nowhere. The weather was beautiful, the scenery was to die for, and the couple was a blast to work with....

I flipped through this old bible in search of a place to photograph the rings... almost immediately I found MICAH.

The funniest thing happened to me at the wedding. When I first arrived Dana was trying to work out the parking situation so there would be room for their old fashioned get away car. I offered to block off a space and then move my car later. Well, apparently that was a bad idea. The groomsmen ended up decorating my rental car thinking that it was Dana and Micahs!!! The rest of the day I drove around with "Just Married" on the back of my car while everyone waved and honked.... hysterical..

We drove pretty far to go back to Dana and Micah's house to do some portraits. The drive was totally worth it.. They have a fabulous old barn in their back yard. I LOVED shooting in and around it!

Dana and Micah, thank you for being so warm and welcoming--it was like hanging with friends all day!

I have to share these photos with you all they are certainly not a part of the wedding. I found a little ad for a drive through Safari in Huntsville. My husband and I debated whether or not to go check it out. I am sure glad we did, I haven't laughed this hard in a while. We paid $9 or so and another $1 for a plastic cup full of corn to feed the animals. The lady warned us to not roll our windows down too far because the animals WILL stick their heads in your car! The minute she opened the gate we were bombarded by deer, emus, turkeys, zebras, buffalo, and horses. It was so much fun, and a little bit scary!
